I didn't watch the pageant and I don't know the name of the woman who was actually crowned but I now know Carrie. In my point of view, Carrie has WON THE PAGEANT. No question. Thank you, Perez. If you weren't such an intolerant creep we may never have met such a tremendous individual as Carrie Prejean.
And like Carrie, I pray for you, but that does not discharge your need to repent of all your sins and come unto Jesus Christ. Note that my prayers for you do not take away your constitutional rights and freedom of choice. You are free to choose good and happiness or evil and misery. But, your crusade to call your civil union a marriage if attained, denies everyone else their freedom of conscience, religion and speech.
I stand with Miss California, Carrie Prejean, for Biblical correctness over political correctness. I see Carrie as a virtuous women who is praiseworthy. I honor and treasure her far above rubies.
Carrie seems to understand the concept: "Do what is right, let the consequences follow." She teaches us by her example that we don't need to worry about the consequences that follow our choice to do what is right. We may perceive the results of Carrie's decision as bad. But in God's point of view and in Carrie's point of view, we are always blessed when we do God's will. Where does this strange idea come from? All things work for the good of those who love God and keep His commandments. That is as true now as when it was first written. It is hard to develop the faith to grasp the idea that what most people see as failure or a bad result can actually be the best thing for us. What others see as failure, can give us knowledge, experience and character.
I thank God for all the people like Carrie who choose the right. God bless her. May we all choose the right always.
