Patriots! Wake up and Fight the Tyrants

I started my political life as a democrat. Jimmy Carter became president and like many people who were paying attention, I became a republican. I haven't supported the republican party since Newt's contract with America (and now that he has made a commercial promoting cap and trade, I am even wondering if he really cares about our freedom.) After Reagan I couldn't find anyone I wanted to vote for. I did not understand. Where had all the leaders gone?

Recently, I discovered I had the wrong political paradigm. That discovery did not make any leaders jump out of the walls and onto my ballot, but now I understand why I don't enthusiastically support any republicans or democrats. I have recently learned that many politicians, educators and journalists are statists or modern progressives. Now when I look at my revulsion at the directions both parties have been taking, I see they are actually going in the same direction. Both parties, democrat and republican, are progressive. I am still a registered republican, but I do not define myself as a republican. I have learned that I am a constitutional conservative with the philosophies, principles and values of the Founding Fathers. That is why I do not like the democrats or the republicans. They have been destroying all that I value.

I can define my political mission today. I defend the liberty defined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights against tyrants who want to enslave America. I am not a republican against democrats. I am not a democrat against republicans. I am a free woman against tyrants.

Why do I choose the word tyrants? Because the end result of progressive legislation is our loss of liberty, hence tyranny. I found this quote which accurately defines the changes in America I have seen in my lifetime. Former secretary of agriculture, Ezra Taft Benson relates an experience he had in the 1960's. “I have talked face to face with the godless communist leaders. It may surprise you to learn that I was host to Mr. Khrushchev for a half day when he visited the United States, not that I’m proud of it. I opposed his coming then, and I still feel it was a mistake to welcome this atheistic murderer as a state visitor. But, according to President Eisenhower, Khrushchev had expressed a desire to learn something of American Agriculture — and after seeing Russian agriculture I can understand why. As we talked face to face, he indicated that my grandchildren would live under communism. After assuring him that I expected to do all in my power to assure that his and all other grandchildren will live under freedom he arrogantly declared in substance:
‘You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like overripe fruit into our hands.’” (Ezra Taft Benson “Our Immediate Responsibility.” Devotional Address at Brigham Young University. circa 1968.”) Benson's grand children are grown and the way I see it, Krushchev's words are quickly coming to pass today. As Mark Levin states, schools teach statism to students. Our economy is weakened by tax and spend politicians. Where does the money go? It just disappears and the problems are never solved. I can't be the only one who sees this happening. When a program actually works the program is discontinued. And by the way those programs that do work often cost very little or even save us money. When we the people show we can solve our own problems and govern ourselves that is unacceptable and must be stopped or regulated out of viability.

Democrats fighting republicans is a diversion from the real battle. Now, I work to remove from office those who are really working to take away our freedoms. They are politicians in both parties. They ignore the constitution. They ignore the bill of rights. Our political "leaders" swear an oath to uphold the Constitution and then many ignore it altogether and say it is a living document (which in politician speak means it is just a piece of paper with no police power so I can ignore it.) Well I am the police power behind the constitution and I require you to abide by it and uphold it or I will vote you out of office. I am looking for candidates who uphold the constitution and share the principles and values of the Founding Fathers, in other words, I will only vote for 912 candidates.

I couldn't define national political events and my own political views accurately because instead of learning to define my beliefs and see the world as it is; I was busy pursuing my happiness. How selfish and stupid of me. I hope I am not waking up too late. This tearing away at our constitution has been going on for at least 100 years. Why didn't I see it? I was distracted. I fell for the divide and conquer trick.

I have joined the 912 project at http://the912project.com and the http://912candidates.org/. I visited the national center for constitutional studies, at nccs.com and there I ordered the 5000 year leap, books on the early patriots and other learning materials. I am reading the books suggested by Glenn Beck about the modern progressive movement entitled, "American Progressivism," "Woodrow Wilson and the Roots of Modern Liberalism," by Ronald J. Pestritto and "The Forgotten Man," by Amity Shlaes. I am getting to know the real enemies of our country and our freedom. Modern Progressives or what Mark Levin calls, statists, tear away at the constitution and our freedoms.

What have I learned? Democrats and Republicans need to stop blaming each other. Time to wake up and unite against those who are destroying our God given rights, our freedoms and our economy. If we think the fight is against the dems or against the reps we will certainly loose the war for our freedom.
