Mitt twitted these articles this morning. This current rhetoric is an attempt to intimidate and poison public opinion. Patriots are not intimidated and know compromising our constitutional freedom is a ridiculous notion.
The current ruling in CA provides equal rights to all people, so the argument for equality is invalid. The May 2008 ruling created an elevated class of people who's rights dominated and controlled the activities, religious beliefs, and opinions of all other citizens, so it was not equal rights for all.

We were not the only group supporting family values. One example is http://www.tfp.org
Marriage becomes a constitutional issue when law abiding citizens are embroiled in lawsuits denying them their freedom of religion, etc. So what we did last year in several states did work to preserve some constitutional freedom.
It is interesting that even when Brigham Young warned that the constitution was being shredded during his life time, the church did not stand as a unit and respond. Even Ezra Taft Benson did not organize an effort for freedom as we did last year.
Our constitution is eroding at a more rapid pace today. With transnationalism, empathetic jurisprudence, centralized power, corruption and etc.
Our situation is excitingly similar to that of the American Revolution. A few "get it" and fight for freedom. But most are pursuing their own interest, have no clue what is happening, don't care, are fearful or feel inadequate. Some fight against freedom because they are indoctrinated falsely, seek the praise of men or want control over others. And a few work to exploit those who fight for freedom for their own gain. Some things never change.
